A great day at The Icon Factory and The Icon Walk.
We received a very welcome visit from Rachel Alabiso C.C.O of The American Ireland Fund and a camera crew. Rachel came all the way from Boston to film The Icon Project for their annual Magazine, sent to philanthropists and organizations in 10 countries. The Icon Walk was selected as an example of a perfect community enhancement that should be supported by the philanthropic community. It was a normal down the lanes day with tourists picking their way through hypodermic needles, illegal use of lanes as public toilets, drug users and Gardi trying to restore order. This is what attracted their support, our attempt to bring Culture into such an environment so as to rescue it for the people who use these public ways. They considered our efforts to be exceptional and worthy of world wide recognition. Last year their Irish arm, The Ireland Fund gave us 3,500 Euro the first and only funds we have received to date.

The Magazine is published in September and we look forward to sharing the article with you all It is our extreme pleasure to work with these wonderful people. Than you so much for your support and belief in us! With The American Ireland Fund.
